Product Description

The apparatus consists of a precision ground shaft rotating freely in ball bearings. Four slotted discs are mounted over the shaft. The known weights can be attached in the slots of the discs at required radial distance. The discs can be adjusted at different positions along the length of the shaft and also the discs can be fixed at any angular position over the shafts.
Thus the unit offers total flexibility for fixing the weight to the discs (within its limits) Thus a system of known unbalance ( i.e. known MR value of weights, their longitudinal and angular position can be created with one or two discs & that can be statically and dynamically balanced using another discs and weights. The apparatus gives the students clear insight of balancing.
The system is provided with small motor to rotate the shaft so that it can be seen that after dynamic balancing, the shaft rotates free of vibrations.
