Product Description

The apparatus consist of a beam supported between the fixed clamps. A vibration exciter, provided below the beam sets the beam vibrating, at required frequency. When frequency of exciter coincides fundamental frequency, large amplitude vibrations are observed. This is the fundamental frequency, similarly, nodes of vibrations, are observed at second node frequency. The nodes of vibrations thus can be observed for different beams. and node length can also be measured.

SPECIFICATIONS :

  1. Beams – 25 x 3mm & 25 x 5mm. Cross section 1m span. Beams can be supported between two supports or can be operated as cantilever.
  2. Vibration exciter – 1 to 100 cycles/ sec,with steples vibration of frequency.
  3. Digital frequency indicator for vibration exciter.

The unit is mounted over a sturdy frame.
The results obtained may differ from theory because of bending of beams.
