Product Description

The apparatus consists of a steel disc driven by a motor. Pins of different materials are provided, which are kept over the rotating disc. The wear of the pin is measured and also, frictional force on the pin is measured, so that co-efficient of friction can also be determined, with non lubricated as well as lubricated surfaces.

SPECIFICATIONS :

  1. DISC – Steel disc. 400 mm. rotating about vertical axis, driven by a 1 HP three phase induction motor, with 3 speed pulleys. Max. surface speed 0 – 25 m/s.
  2. PINS – 12 mm. 150 long – Aluminium, brass and C. I. – 3 nos. each.
  3. Weight set to load the pins-100 gm. & 200 gm. 2 nos. each.
    Measurements –

    1. Dial gauge, L.C. 0.01 mm. for measurement of pin wear.
    2. Spring balance with torque arm for measurement of co-efficient of friction.
  4. Optional Accessories – (At extra cost)
    1. Digital wear indicator, L. C. 0.01 mm.
    2. Digital indicator for frictional force.
