‘Swarg Systems & Instruments’ unit is a prototype model of large plant. It consists of a small two storeyed building, to which air ducting is fitted. On one side of the building, the conditioning plant is provided. The conditioning plant comprises of air filter, direct expansion cooling coil, preheater, reheater & humidifier. The air is circulated through the system by a centrifugal blower. Shutters are provided in the room to control the volume of air. Arrangement is provided to admit the fresh air into the system. Small heaters in the room simulate heat load.

SPECIFICATIONS
1) Cooling – Direct expansion type, operated by a 3/4 ton hermetic compressor and thermostatic expansion valve, using R-22 refrigerant.
2) Building – Comprising of two rooms of size 600 X 600 X 600 mm., one upon another.
3) Centrifugal blower to circulate the air through the steam in the ducts of 200 X 200mm. size.
4) Preheater and reheater fitted in the duct.
5) Steam generator with electric heater and system nozzles for humidification.
6) Measurements

  • Energymeter to measure input to compressor.
  • Pressure gauges for evaporating & condensing pressures.
  • Energymeter to measure input to preheater or reheater.
  • Multichannel digital temperature Indicator to measure temperature at various points.

Safety & Controls
a) Pressostat, i.e. high / low pressure output for cooling cycle.
b) Thermostat to cut off cooling cycle at set temp.
c) A dimmer to control output to preheater or reheater.
d) Over load protector for compressor.
c) Necessary switches and fuses.
A technical manual accompanies the unit.
All the conditioning unit is housed benefit the building model.

SERVICES REQUIRED
1. Floor space of 2m X 2m (approx.)
2. 440v, 16A, 3PH, stabilized electric supply with neutral and earthing connection.
3. The room should be well ventilated to provided free passages of air to condenser and unit.
