The ‘Swarg Systems & Instruments’ unit provides basic understanding of domestic refrigerator. It consists of hermetic compressor, air cooled condenser, capillary tube as expansion device & evaporator. A small heater provided in evaporator simulates heat load. Various measurements like condensing pressure, evaporating pressure and input to compressor & heater enables to calculate power consumption & theoretical & actual cop of the system.

SPECIFICATIONS
1. Hermetic compressor, having capacity of about 130 ton of refrigeration using R -12 refrigerant.
2. Natural convection type air cooled condenser.
3. Capillary tube as expansion device.
4. Insulated evaporator with variable input heater inside.
