Product Description
Vapor absorption refrigeration is a special branch of refrigeration where as the conventional vapor compression system needs a large size compressor to compress low pressure vapors from evaporator, absorption system uses an absorbent to dissolve the vapor and a small pump to raise the pressure. Therefore vapor absorption systems are best suited for large refrigeration or air conditioning plants. Absorption systems up to 1400 TR capacity are built, but smaller version’s are not available.
The ‘Swarg Systems & Instruments’ unit is a small capacity vapor absorption refrigeration unit, using water as refrigerant and lithium bromide as absorbent. Water vapors coming from evaporator are dissolved in lithium bromide solution in absorber. The solution is pumped by a pump to generator, which is at higher pressure. By application of heat, vapor is released in generator, which passes to an evaporative condenser and weak solution returns to absorber through a pressure reducing valve.
Water vapor is condensed in condenser and passes to evaporator to produce the refrigerating effect.
Various heat exchangers installed in the system help to improve cop of the system.

The system is designed and developed by ‘Swarg Systems & Instruments’ and it is not supplied as old repaired electrolux refrigerator.
The unit can be used as a water cooler.
A technical manual accompanies the unit.
Amonia – water system can also be supplied instead of water lithium bromide system, on request, at same price.
Also, the unit is provided with an attractive & rust proof powder coating.
