Pin jointed truss is a structure which carries the load by developing axial forces in its members. As all the joints are pin joints there is no bending moment in any members.

The apparatus consists of a pin jointed truss which is supported as cantilever. Deflection of the truss is measured with the help of a dial gauge. A weight set provided gives different loadings. Thus defection of truss at any joint with different loadings can be determined.

SPECIFICATIONS
1) Truss – Cantilever type pin jointed truss, span 0.6 mtr. with strong support.
2) Dial gauge to measure the deflection.
3) Weight set – 0.5 Kg, 1Kg, 2Kg & 5Kg 1 each.
4) The whole unit is mounted over a sturdy frame.
